How It Works

  • 1. Choose Your Role

    Collaborate with Charging America as either an Installation Partner or an Installation & Maintenance Partner. Upon joining and partner with Charging America, we'll furnish you with an equipment list featuring our pricing. It's essential that when preparing quotes for customers, you incorporate our equipment pricing to ensure consistency and transparency. Descriptions of each role are provided below:


    • Installation Partner: Your main task is to manage the installation of electric vehicle charging stations. When we receive customer inquiries, they'll be directly forwarded to you. Following your detailed quote and its approval, you'll handle the entire installation process.
    • Installation & Maintenance Partner: In this role, you'll oversee installations and also be responsible for the stations' maintenance. This allows you to participate in our profit-sharing program. We monitor the stations remotely and will only reach out to you if there's a hardware issue, ensuring the stations remain in peak performance.

  • 2. Your Dedicated Sales Specialist

    By partnering with Charging America, consider us an integral part of your EV charging station sales force. We're here to serve both your new and established customers, assessing their specific property needs and providing consultations, product insights, and seasoned advice. You maintain full autonomy in selecting from our diverse equipment portfolio and setting appropriate pricing for each project.


    We'll also encourage our collaborative maintenance plans, ensuring lasting value and reliability. Rest assured, any questions from your customers beyond the scope of charging are directed right back to you. Join hands with Charging America and supercharge your EV charging offerings!

  • 3. Maintenance & Profit Sharing

    When customers opt for a maintenance plan, responsibility is shared between Charging America and our Installation & Maintenance Partners. Charging America manages customer communications, software issues, and remote monitoring. Meanwhile, our trusted partners address on-site hardware issues. In case of hardware problems, quick resolution and documentation, including notes and photos, are vital.


    Furthermore, our Installation & Maintenance Partners also share in the revenues generated from maintenance services. Together, we not only aim to offer a seamless charging service but also work towards promoting a sustainable future.

Installation & Maintenance Partner

Requirements

  • - General / Electrical Contractor License

    General and electrical contractors interested in partnering to provide customers with EV charging solutions must possess an active and valid state license. This ensures that we uphold local regulations, adhere to industry standards, and guarantee quality work.

  • - General Liability Insurance

    All contractors must possess active and valid liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $1 million. This insurance is essential to ensure the safety and protection of both parties during the installation and maintenance processes. Please ensure your coverage meets this requirement before seeking partnership.

  • - Worker's Compensation Insurance

    If applicable, contractors must have active and valid worker's compensation insurance. This safeguards both our teams and the contractors involved. Ensure you meet this requirement in your state before seeking partnership.

  • - Auto Insurance

    Please be aware that active and valid auto insurance is a mandatory requirement for our installation and maintenance partners. Ensure your insurance is current before applying.

  • - Driver's License

    All technicians performing work must possess an active and valid driver's license. This is a non-negotiable requirement to ensure our partners can safely and legally execute their tasks. Please ensure you have this documentation available and up-to-date before applying.

  • - Bonding

    Some of our projects necessitate contractors to be bonded. If you are already bonded or are interested in participating in such projects, please inform us accordingly. However, being bonded is not a necessity to partner with us. We value collaboration and are open to working with a diverse range of contractors.

  • - Experience

    To join our team as an installation and maintenance partner for EV charging stations, contractors must possess 4 or more years of electrical experience. This expertise is essential to guarantee the safety and efficiency of installations. Only those with this proven track record will be considered for partnership.
